Elk is raising funds for Covid Relief in India. Let’s support them together!
In the wake of the recent spike of Covid-19 cases in India, Team Elk was deeply moved to see our friend Sandeep (co-founder of Polygon) create the Crypto Relief Fund. The mission of the fund is to provide healthcare and essentials to those fighting for survival against the Covid-19 virus. Thus far, the fund has raised a total of $1,039,721,689 at the time of writing. Sandeep and his amazing team have been stellar in their transparency, resource management, and provisioning of grants for aid.
Let’s continue to help India and show our support as the Elk community! We are setting up a fund to support Crypto Relief. The Elk Team will match every dollar for the first $3,000 dollars raised from the community!
To ensure the integrity of donations, a multi-sig wallet has been signed by two of Elk Finance’s core team members (Baal & JC), and M0xcho, a trusted independent member in the DeFi community. Donations will be accepted in AVAX, FTM, or MATIC, and can be safely sent to the following address:
As an added thanks, everyone who donates $25 (USD equivalent) or more will be airdropped an NFT made especially for this initiative by a talented artist from India.
“I am Shikhar Pandey, 26 yrs young and I hail from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. I am the second generation of my family to be proudly serving in the Indian armed forces. I am also an amateur artist who wishes deeply to help my country during these harsh days of the pandemic.”
Here is the artist’s description of the symbolism in the piece:
- Saffron Sky: Uppermost part of the Indian Tricolor. Signifies strength and courage;
- White Halo: Middle part of the Indian Tricolor. Signifies peace and harmony;
- Green: Lowermost part of the Indian Tricolor. Signifies our rich heritage and deep relationship with nature;
- Forward stance of the Elk: Signifies drive and strength and the community’s support of India
- Antlers: Signify love and care.
