Elk.Finance aims to become a powerhouse of cross-chain liquidity exchange by the end of the year. Today, we are announcing the first chain we will be supporting: Avalanche (AVAX).
On Friday, March 19, 2021 at 15:00 UTC, we will be going live at https://avax.elk.finance. Soon after, Avalanche token holders will be allowed to claim some ELK tokens from the Airdrop and start earning more ELK tokens through yield farming.
Initially, the total number of ELK tokens on the Avalanche C-Chain will be 4.2 million, or 10% of the total number of ELK tokens on all blockchains, ever. 2 million ELKs will go towards the community fund, while another 2 million will go to liquidity mining and impermanent loss protection. The remaining 200,000 ELK tokens will be locked away for the team and advisors under a strict vesting schedule.
We will airdrop a total of 50,000 ELK to Avalanche token holders on a first-come, first-serve basis. Anyone with a C-Chain address that transacted in AVAX is eligible to claim 50 ELK. The Airdrop will last until all 50,000 ELK are claimed (1,000 claims possible) or until April 19, 2021, at 00:00 UTC. No minimum number of AVAX required. Eligible participants must hold (or have held in the past) AVAX tokens at or before block number 666,666 (see C-Chain explorer).
In order to claim your ELK tokens, go to https://avax.elk.finance and connect with Metamask after Friday at 15:00 UTC. Beware that you will have to pay a small fee in AVAX to post the claim transaction on the blockchain. This process is simple and we will be standing by in the Telegram chat and on Twitter if anyone has questions or issues.
This is Airdrop #1 out of many. We hope you participate but if you do not or cannot, fear not! Other Airdrops will take place on other chains in a similar fashion upon the launch of Elk.Finance on these chains.
Finally, a bit of good news for our early adopters. Since Elk.Finance is a community project, we value our early members very much! We are delighted to announce that the first 10 members of our Telegram chat will qualify to claim 4x the regular number of ELK tokens, i.e., 200 ELK tokens, and the first 100 members will be allowed to claim 2x the regular number of ELKs, i.e., 100 ELK. We will be providing a form for these members to enter their wallet addresses shortly. Note that if you are an early member, you do not need to have one AVAX transaction in your wallet by block number 666,666 but you will need to have a wallet to claim the airdrop!
